When it comes to Black culture, majesty is magic. Set against the backdrop of the global pandemic and Black Music Month, the country may have been social distancing, but the culture could not be quarantined. PMM had the opportunity to create unique digital engagement with an ecosystem around three key strategic execution pillars – Culture Call to Action, Influencer Marketing and Engagement.

 

The Essence Festival is the largest African American cultural and music event in the United States. Through audience experiences and influencer/talent integrations, this convening is the bridge to African American women in the most meaningful way.

 

Shea Moisture is widely known for its rich heritage and legacy as a premiere brand for hair and beauty, bridging the gap between community, commerce and culture. PMM had the opportunity to discover and gain rich, actionable insights for the “natural and textured” consumer market to better serve her needs.

 

Founded by Columbus City Councilmember, Priscilla R. Tyson, the Commission on Black Girls aims to develop and implement recommendations to ensure opportunities, successful futures, and the achievement of a high quality of life for Black Girls in Columbus.
